Description
Peter Brzezinski is professor of biochemistry at Stockholm University (SU). He holds a PhD in Physics from Chalmers University of Technology (1989). Peter was then appointed postdoctor and later visiting researcher at the Physics Department at UCSD in San Diego. He then held an Assistant Professor position at Göteborg University before moving to SU in 1998. He has served as Chair of the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at SU and Dean of the Chemistry section. He is Editor of FEBS Lett. and Executive Editor of Biochim. Biophys. Acta - Bioenergetics. Peter's research is focused on understanding molecular mechanisms of biological energy conversion in terms of physical mechanisms and principles.
